Sol Marinucci presented Illaturas, an itinerant project exploring the symbolic role of miniatures in Andean traditions.
Illaturas is an invitation to explore inner territories — the universe of desires, dreams and intuitions — and to recover the sense of the small, of rituality, and of the creative force that has moved through miniatures since pre-Inca times.
The event opened with a talk on the collaborative research around Andean miniatures and the living archive of Illaturas, and was followed by an open embroidery table — a collective space for reflection and creation, where stitching becomes a shared language of care and connection.
In the Andes, illas are sacred figures — seeds that hold the invisible.
This encounter invites us to slow down, to embroider as reflection — where thread becomes language, and gesture becomes care.
